CONSTITUTION:On one surface of the liquid crystal panel 13 being a substrate, a multi-lens 15 constituted by arraying the small-sized convex lenses 14 in two dimensions at the respective positions corresponding to the pixel electrodes 1 is provided. On the liquid crystal display device or a projection type liquid crystal display device, the multilens 15 of the liquid crystal panel is so arranged that light is made incident from the multi-lens 15. The shape of each small-sized convex lens 14 and the distance between the liquid crystal 13 as the substrate and the multi-lens 15, however, are so set that parallel light which is made incident on the surface from the side of the multi-lens 15 almost at right angles passes through the respective small-sized convex lenses 14 and are converged almost on the areas of the corresponding pixel electrodes 1.

CONSTITUTION:The position correction of the output screen is performed as to only the variation quantity from which the (x)-directional maximum error and (y)-directional maximum error regarding motion detection and correction which cause line scrolling and jitters. Consequently, the position variation of a correction error is left, but its variation direction is the same as the direction of current screen variation and natural fluctuations like the line crawl and jitters which vibrate finely and vertically, field by field, are not caused. Therefore, the excellent image which is naturally seen is obtained although the variation of the screen position due to a hand shape is greatly reduced.

CONSTITUTION:An optical low pass filter 9 made of a transparent substance having optical uniaxial double refraction characteristic is inserted to an incident optical path to an image pickup element 3 and the zero or minimum point of a transmission level of the optical low pass filter 9 to be inserted is set so as to be in existence at least between fc/2-3fc/4, or between fc/4-3fc/2, or between fc/2-3fc/4 and fc/4-fc/2, where fc is a spatial frequency of a picture element string in the vertical direction when a same color optical signal of the image pickup element 3 is detected. Thus, the resolution of a video signal is not so much lowered visually, so a level of a false signal due to a correction error, i.e., color slurring and color moire is decreased without much decreasing visually the resolution of a video signal.

Then the data insertion signal is recorded on a recording medium of a recorder 9 and the substantial picture processing is implemented by other signal processing unit able to reproduce the signal from the recording medium. Thus, the circuit of the image pickup section is made small in size and light in weight.

Thus, since the position on the photodetection face of the area to be displayed is moved in matching with the movement of the image of the object such is image part to be displayed, the position of the image to be displayed is nearly stopped on the screen and the video signal for excellent picture display with less video image fluctuation is obtained.

A lens parameter detection circuit 3 detects the parameter of an image pickup state, and takes out the aberration correction data corresponding to the parameter from the memory 2. The correction data is transmitted to the microcomputer 15 of the camera main body via a transmission path 21. The microcomputer 15 computes the registration correction signals of a red color image pickup tube 6 and a blue color image pickup tube 8 by using transmitted correction data. In such a way, an operator can be released from complicated work such as to exchange the correction data, and registration defect can be completely eliminated.
