    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a fold or crease line by preventing a hand from touching a recording medium when a sub-stopping section is moved to be attached by a constitution wherein the recording medium is fixed to the sub-stopping section which is removed from a recorder body beforehand, then it is attached to a main stopping section. SOLUTION: When a sub-stopping section 18 to which a recording medium 19 is fixed beforehand is attached to a main stopping section 16, a receiving face 18e of the sub-stopping section 18 is moved back so that the recording medium 19 is pressed to be fixed by a hook 20 of the sub-stopping section and main stopping section 16. As a result, even when an attaching position of the sub-stopping section 18 to the main stopping section 16 is varied or plane conditions of the main stopping section 16 and the receiving face 18e of the sub-stopping section 18 are bad, the recording medium 19 is surely and readily fixed to the main stopping section 16. When a bolt 17 is released from a side pin 25 under the condition that the recording medium 19 is fixed between the main stopping section 16 and hook 20, it is possible to remove the sub-stopping section 18 and recording medium 19 from the recorder body.

    • PURPOSE:To enable color printing to be performed and prevent thermal ribbon consumption from being increased at the time of monochroic printing, by providing at least two carriages at least one of which is slidable, performing color printing under the condition where all of the carriages are close to each other, and performing monochroic printing under the condition where the carriages are spaced a predetermined distance apart from each other. CONSTITUTION:A left carriage 2 on the printing starting side is fixed to a belt 10, while a right carriage 4 on the printing ending side is detachably fixed to the belt 10. Optical sensors 12, 14 are mounted respectively at a printing starting position and a printing ending position. When performing color printing, the carriages 2, 4 are fixed to the belt 10 in the state of making close contact with each other. When performing monochroic print, the carriage 4 is so fixed to the belt 10 that printing data can be printed separately, with a substantially central position as a boundary. It is necessary to determine whether or not the distance between the carriages 2 and 4 is correct,before starting the printing. An MPU 32 calculates the distance l3 over which the carriage 2 is moved, and obtains the distance lx=l2-l3 between the carriages 2, 4 from the distance l3 and the distance l2 (known) between the sensors 12 and 14.

    • PURPOSE:To make the easy alteration of the printing position possible, by providing the heating units the number of which not less than that of dots constituting one dot line, printing within a specified application range. CONSTITUTION:For instance, when the number of dots of one dot line is 24, two thermal heads 1, 2 respectively have 28 heating resistors 3, 4 which are respective arranged on one vertical line. When the right thermal head 2 among the thermal heads 1, 2 is replaced with a new thermal head 5, the thermal head 5 prints a rule at first with a printer and its printing state is evaluted by visual observation. If that printing state of the rule shifts downward, the preset value of a counter 9 is set to value smaller than 28 with a digital switch 10 and the upper resistors among the heating resistors on the thermal head 5 are used. Further, if it shifts upward on the contrary, the preset value is set to a value larger than 28 with the digital switch 10 and the lower resistors among the heating resistors on the thermal head 5 are used.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always execute accurate ink ejection and to improve printing quality by a method wherein residual ink deposited to a surface of an ink ejection nozzle during the printing is removed to prevent the accumulation of the ink in terms of an ink jet type and XY plotter type recorder. SOLUTION: This recorder comprises a printing section 1 having a means for ejecting ink from an ink ejection nozzle, an arm section 2 slidably holding the printing section 1 and having a first direct moving means, a base section 4 holding the arm section 2 slidably in a direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the first direct moving means and having a second direct moving means, and a paper stopper section 11 that is opposed to the printing section 1 at a predetermined distance and has a paper stopper means. A mechanism 14 for removing redundant residual ink deposited to a portion in the vicinity of an ink ejection nozzle is provided in the base section 4. When the arm section 2 is moved to a second moving direction on the way of the printing, the removing of the residual ink is executed.
