    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain influenence of the heat and the operating sound of a valve on an operation room and facilitate maintenance inspection of piping by arranging a receiving room receiving a hydraulic oil tank and a control valve, and a receiving body forming the operation room on a base. SOLUTION: On the position where a control valve 20 and an operation room 16 do not overlap with each other, a hydraulic oil tank 25 is arranged between the valve 20 and the operation room 16. The tank 25 stores hydraulic oil cooled after being discharged from the valve 20. Hence, the heat and the operating sound generated in the valve 20 are insulated by the hydraulic oil, and they are hardly transmitted to the operation room 16. The valve 20 is arranged on the inner wall of an upper turning body 12 opposite to a piping connected side face 20a, and the valve 20, the piping, and the like can be inspected from the outside. Further an opening part and an opening/closing door are provided on the side wall of a cover 13 opposite to the connected side face 20a, to facilitate maintenance inspection of the valve 20. Hereby, the maintenance inspection is facilitated, and environment in the operation room can be made favorable.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic shovel keeping the reduction of the upper cover volume to the minimum and lessening the gyratory radius in the minimum gyratory posture of the front. SOLUTION: A curved part 45 is provided with a recessed face 45A having the center axis at the axial center (m) of the vertical pin of the swing post 4, the first level difference part 45B forming a nearly constant clearance against the track made by the rear projection of the swing post during the swing motion of the working front 5, and the second level difference part 45C having a nearly horizontal face for a scaffold. The recessed face 45A spread along the track made by the rear face of the boom 16 when swinging the working front 5 at the minimum gyratory posture of the front, to form a clearance from the track. The first level difference part 45B is provided with a curved face forming a nearly constant clearance from the track made by the rear projection during the swing motion of the working front 5 and a nearly horizontal face forming a nearly constant clearance from the track made by the lower end of the rear projection during the swing motion of the working front 5.
