CONSTITUTION:A cutter head A is driven between a front end excavation device 110 and a power unit 120 on the ground. or posture control is made between then, or between them is connected with hydraulic hoses 122, 124 and 126 used for conveying earth with pressure. After that, a generator 2 is directly connected to a cutter driving motor 1 driven by oil pressure, and the output is supplied to a signal transmission device 5 through a power dable 200. Then, power is supplied to survey equipments, etc., 6-10 in the device 110 from the device 5 through a cable 220. In addition, signal cable wiring is not required by using space photo transmission 240 for signal transmission between the device 110 and a control panel 130 on the ground. According to the constitution, power supply and communication cables between the front end excavation device and ground unit are not required and, at the same time, re-shoring time can be reduced, cable connection can be eliminated, and voltage drop can be prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe jacking machine capable of preventing damage by external force worked at the time of the propulsion of a succeeding pipe of a direction-changing jack. SOLUTION: The pipe jacking machine has a plurality of mutually inclinable connected drum sections, a cutter head for excavating a bedrock and three direction-changing jacks capable of connecting and tilting the drum sections on the front end sides to the drum sections at rear sections, and the direction changing jacks are composed of leaders, to which relief means relieving pressure oil in the cylinders of the direction-changing jacks are installed, and base-push jacks propelling a succeeding pipe. Shrinkage-limit set values for determining the shrinkage limits of the direction-changing jacks are set at that time, and a controller 3 energizing a solenoid 6 and stopping the propulsion of the succeeding pipe by the base-push jack when at least one of the three direction-changing jacks is decided so as to be shrunk until at least one of the jacks reaches the shrinkage-limit set value while energizing the solenoid 6 and stopping the propulsion of the succeeding pipe even when at least one of the jacks is decided to be shrunk or extended under the state, in which at least one of the jacks is not operated, is mounted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly monitor operation load of a soil and sand conveying pump by discriminating the operation period of a piston for soil and sand conveying and a movable cylinder in each process, and detecting to indicate oil pressure in the operation period after a time required for one cycle is previously calculated in response to detected oil pressure behavior and respective time distribution of each process occupied during the time required for one cycle on the basis of a pressure oil flow rate necessary for one cycle and the pressure oil flow rate respectively necessary for each process. SOLUTION: Detected signals from oil pressure detectors 45, 46 are successively stored to a memory. When the instruction of a process from an operation switch 52 is input, numerical data of a one-cycle part just before the inside of the memory are used to calculate a time necessary for one cycle. Thereafter the time necessary for one cycle is calculated by using total necessary pressure oil flow rates and a pressure oil flow rate classified by a process necessary for each process stored in the memory. The operation times of a cylinder and a piston are discriminated in each process, and oil pressure is detected in the operation time to be indicated on a display 49.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of an operator and improve the work efficiency by projecting a laser beam toward the reference line indicating the excavation direction, and automatically correcting the excavation direction in response to the light receiving position on a target face. SOLUTION: Vertical direction fuzzy inference is conducted based on a vertical direction fuzzy rule in an arithmetic processing unit with the light reception section vertical drift quantity Z1 and pitching value ξ used as input variables. A required vertical direction correction quantity dU is obtained, and horizontal direction fuzzy inference is conducted based on a horizontal direction fuzzy rule with the light reception section horizontal drift quantity Y1 , intermediate section horizontal drift quantity Y2 , and yawing value η used as input variables. A required horizontal direction correction quantity dV is obtained, and a stroke quantity S of a direction correcting jack is obtained in response to the inferred results of two fuzzy inferences. The excavation direction of an excavator is automatically corrected to the direction reducing a drift quantity, and the work efficiency can be improved.
