    • PURPOSE:To enable correct and automatic measurement of an offset size including a bend radius by using a hung-type guide carriage which runs on a cable itself which is an object to be measured and mounting a light gyro angle sensor on the carriage. CONSTITUTION:A hung-type guide carriage 3 is hung from a cable 1 by vertical guide rollers 5a, 5b, and an angle sensor housing box 7 is placed below the cable 1 with a predetermined distance. When a driver 12 is started, the carriage 3 runs on an offset part of the cable 1 at a predetermined speed with the box 7 mounted and correctly follows a solid shape of the part. As a result, necessary angle information of an offset size is continuously output from the angle sensor, while distance information corresponding to the angle information is continuously output from a travel distance detector. Therefore, after the output information is converted into a digital signal, the signal is calculated, thereby allowing the offset size including a bend radius to be measured correctly and automatically.

    • PURPOSE:To satisfy both requirements including the necessity to draw out the winding start end of a cable to the outer side, and the force to maximize the cable winding capacity when racks are made unnecessary, by providing the racks so that the cable winding start end is loaded on the inner surface of the frames at both ends of the winding drum of the cable so as to draw out it to the outer side. CONSTITUTION:In case of an insulation test or the like, for example, a rack unit 4 is installed to a frame 3, and the winding start end 5A is loaded on the rack unit 4 lest the end 5A should be buried in a cable 5 wound on a drum, and it is drawn out to the outer side. Then the winding start end 5A and the winding finish end 5B are connected to a voltage source for insulation test, and the cable 5 other than the winding start end 5A and the winding finish end 5B is soaked in the water together with the drum 1, so as to carry out the pressure resisting test. And when the cable 5 is rewound and shipped after the test, the drum 1 from which the rack unit 4 is removed is used for rewinding purpose, and thereby, the cable 5 can be wound on the drum 1 at the maximum winding capacity without receiving the disturbance of existing of the rack unit 4.
