    • PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a welding burr, and to obtain a homogeneous welding section by controlling the thermal deformation of a lead-wire welding section in predetermined shape or quantity when an electrode chip and a lead wire are welded and an electrode lead is manufactured. CONSTITUTION:An electrode chip 1 fitted on an electrode holder 2 and the tip section 31 of a lead wire 3 penetrated through a through-hole in a load-wire holder 4 are arranged oppositely. In the constitution, an indentation 41, an inner diameter thereof is expanded toward the outside, is formed previously to the lower surface of the lead wire holder 4, and the volume of the length (l) of the tip section 31 of the lead wire 3 penetrating the indentation 41 and the volume of the indentation 41 are made the same. According to such constitution, the lead wire 3 and the chip 1 are pressure-welded and currents are flowed through the holders 2 and 4, and the tip section 31 of the lead wire is welded to the chip 1. The holders 2 and 4 are removed. Consequently, the melt of the tip section 31 does not protrude from the surface of the chip 1, and deburring work is unnecessitated.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the peeling-off of a tape part unnecessary in the succeeding working process, in a method for sticking a masking tape having slits provided thereto to a running long strip, by carrying out said method in such a manner that a groove part is provided to a sticking roll. CONSTITUTION:A strip 1 running to a direction A is held constant in relative positional relation to a masking tape 3 and passed through the nip of sticking roll pairs 4, 5. On the other hand, the tape 3 is run to a direction B so as to be sticked to one surface of the strip in the direction A while slits 8 corresponding to a desired stripe shaped partial plating dimension are cut and sticked to the strip 1 between the rolls 4, 5. Subsequently, an unnecessary tape part 9 demarcated by the slits 8 is peeled off at the position of a guide roll 10. In this case, the roll 5 opposed to the roll 4 is formed into a roll with grooves 12 having a width slightly smaller than that of the part 9 provided on the circumference thereof. By this structure, because the part 9 positioned above the groove 12 is passed between the rolls 4, 5 in a non-pressurized state, the peeling-off of the part 9 is facilitated and the cutting of the tape can be completely prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To heat and adhere simultaneously and quickly a reinforcing tape laminated with an adhesive material layer by incorporating a heating system using plural electrodes for said heating and adhering. CONSTITUTION:A connector for plated rods is provided with a cylinder 4 for moving electrodes, an arm 5 which is fixed to the top end of said cylinder and moves upward and downward according to the movement thereof and plural electrical heating electrodes 8 which are attached to the lower parts thereof via springs 7 for adjusting contact pressure. Electricity is conducted via lead wires 9 to said electrodes 8 to melt the adhesive material laminated on a reinforcing tapt 2 disposed at both butt ends of plated rods 1, thereby heating and adhering the tape 2. The juncture is cooled by the gas or liquid supplied from a cooling nozzle 17 upon completion of the electricity conduction to end the connection.

    • PURPOSE:To perform uniform and thick plating on a single fiber by introducing continuously a fiber bundle into a plating cell, and discharging intermittently the bundle thereby opening intermittently the fiber bundle in a tension-less state in the plating cell. CONSTITUTION:A fiber bundle 1 is continuously introduced into a plating cell 3. A pair of nozzles 4 are provided on the introducing side of the cell 3, and a plating soln. is ejected in parallel with the transfer direction of the bundle 1. Flow regulating plates 5, 5 having many holes are disposed in the suitable area from the vicinity of the nozzle 4 toward the discharging direction, and an anode 6 is disposed therein to perform a plating treatment. A stopper 7 is provided in the discharging part of the bundle 1 and is vertically moved by the compressed air of a compressor 8. The discharging of the bundle 1 is stopped in the downstroke of the stopper. The single fibers are thus thoroughly opened without being cut and damaged and the plating of a uniform thickness is applied on each single fiber.
