    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the attaching and detaching operation of a power cable by winding a waterproof tape around a waterproof fitting holding an 0-ring between at the end of a spring unit pressing the rear of rubber-molded stress corn with a conical tip coming into contact with an epoxy insulator surrounding the junction of the core conductor of the power cable. CONSTITUTION:The end of a power cable 1 is stripped stepwise, an exposed cable conductor is connected, and the periphery of the conductor is surrounded by an epoxy insulator 6. A rubber-molded stress cone 8 with a conical tip is inserted into a taper part formed between the epoxy insulator 6 and conductor and pressed from the rear of the stress cone by a spring unit 9. In this case, a spring unit-compressing fitting 13 having a stepped part engaging with the spring unit 9 in the inner peripheral face is inserted beforehand into the power cable 1, moved to the left side and the flange of the fitting is fastened to a protective case 7 by a bolt 11, a waterproof fitting 15 holding an 0-ring 14 between by the end on the opposite side is slided, and a waterproof tape 12 is wound around the fitting 15 for waterproofing. Thus, the separation and contact of the power cable is performed easily.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an outdoor cable head which can be fixed in an arbitrary attitude, while reducing the weight, by employing an epoxy unit, embedded with a conductive rod to be inserted with the conductor part at the stepwise stripped end part of a cable, as the main body of a bushing and making it possible to replace a finned bushing made of rubber or plastic on the surface of the epoxy unit. CONSTITUTION:A stress cone 16 is mounted onto an insulator part 15a where a cable 15 is stripped stepwise and a wedge metal 17 is press fitted to a conductor part 15b. A bushing corresponding to a terminal part 15E stripped stepwise principally comprises an epoxy unit 19 embedded with a conductive rod 18 and applied with a finned bushing 20 made of rubber. The epoxy unit 19 has tapered outer circumferential surface which is fitted tightly with the inner circumferential surface of the tinned bushing 20. It is secured, at the upper end thereof, to the conductive rod 18 through a bolt 21 and, at the lower end thereof, to a flange 23 through a bolt 22. This structure reduces the weight and facilitates the replacement of bushing while allowing a cable head to be set obliquely, horizontally or downward.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an abnormality detection method with a jumper wire improved between electric vehicles. CONSTITUTION:In an abnormality detection method of a jumper wire 5' as a crossover between electric vehicles 1, semiconductive temperature detection wires which comprise a wire produced by a mold forming integral between two conductors made parallel with a semiconductive resin are arranged along the jumper wire 5' to be adjacent to each other and housed into a flexible pipe. Then, the temperature of the jumper wire 5' is measured to detect abnormality of the jumper wire. In the semiconductive temperature detection wire, two conductors are made parallel and molded between two cores thereofwith a semiconductive resin having an organic PTC characteristic (increase in resistance proportional to the temperature) to form a wire in which the conductors have notch parts alternately at each fixed interval containing the semiconductive resin. Thus, the conductors are connected at a fixed interval through the conductive resin part and the wire obtained is connected to another wire at one end thereof to form a loop circuit.
