    • PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing an epoxy insulator of a connecting portion in a simple manner without water entering a metallic case and generation of corona discharge, where each structure of the metallic case and a packing is remarkably simple. CONSTITUTION:A metallic case 2 is independently made of copper, a copper alloy, stainless steel or the like in advance. Accordingly, since there is nothing inside the metallic case 2, means such as welding can be used so that the structure of the metallic case 2 can made simple. Wire gauzes 6 are disposed opposite each other at an interval inside the metallic case 2. The wire gauzes 6 are supported on and electrically conducted to the metallic case 2 by a metal conducting wire 7, and is fixed by a welding method or the like in order to retain the shape of the wire gauze 6 and keep suitable water tightness at several points. The wire gauze 6 and the metal conducting wire 7 are made of copper, a copper alloy, stainless steel or the like. Thereafter, core dies 8 each formed into a shape suitable for cable connection are combined on both sides so that a center conductor 11 is fixingly disposed. Subsequently, the metallic case 2 is filled with an epoxy resin, followed by curing. The core dies 8 are disassembled after curing, thus obtaining an epoxy insulator having a desired shape and dimension.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance insulating properties at cable joint by securing a terminal protective case integrally to the end face of an epoxy insulator, fitting an overall protective case and a terminal protective case tubularly, and placing an O-ring at the fitting part. CONSTITUTION:A tubular overall protective case 11 to be applied on the outer periphery of an epoxy insulator 4 is formed shorter than the insulator 4 and a gap g2 is provided between the terminal 11a and the terminal of the insulator 4. On the other hand, a terminal protective case 13 has reverse L-shaped cross- section at the end thereof and the terminal protective case 13 is fit to the overall protective case 11 while covering the outer peripheral face thereof. A buried metal 12 is integrally molded at the end of the insulator 4 and a bolt 10 is tightened thereto. At that time, one or more 0-rings 9 are placed between the outer peripheral face at the end 11a of the overall protective case 11 and the inner peripheral face of the terminal protective case 13. According to the constitution, rattling between the epoxy insulator and the metal protective case is eliminated and differential thermal expansion can be absorbed.

    • PURPOSE: To make it possible to form the lead part of the rubber molded part of a current transformer or the like into an integrally constituted watertight lead wire by a method wherein a through ironmongery goods is previously formed into an inte grally watertight mold on the sheath of a cable, which is used as a lead wire main body, using the same material as that for the sheath of the cable. CONSTITUTION: A cable 3, which is a lead wire main body, is formed of an ethylene- propylene insulating chloroprene rubber cabtyre cable. A through ironmongery goods 5 made of a metal is put over the sheath of the cable 3. An integrally watertight molded part 6, which is formed using a chloroprene rubber which is the same material as that for the sheath, is formed in such a way as to lie astride the side of the lead direction of this goods 5 and the sheath of the cable by a molding die and the goods 5 is previously used as the integrally constituted watertight lead wire 3. Here, the lead wire 3 is made to penetrate a through hole bored in a rubber molding metal mold 7, a coil of a current transformer main body is connected with a cable wire core and moreover, the goods 5 is catched on the wall of the through hole bored in the metal mold and is used as a rubber mold 4.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a fireproof cable whose insulation strength in a fire is stabilized by a method wherein fireproof insulating layers are formed as a tape-wound inner layer and a tape-wound fireproof outer layer, a self-adhesive and puttylike inorganic seal layer is installed in the middle between the inner and outer layers and the fireproof outer layer is covered with an inorganic swelling protective layer which is foamed at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION:In a fire, an organic insulating layer 16 and a protective layer 17 are first burned, and they are softened and carbonized gradually while a conductive gaseous substance is being generated. At this time, an inorganic swelling protective layer 15 which is formed just under them is foamed and swollen remarkably. Then, a carbide which has adhered to the surface is broken, and it is stripped off and falls. Thereby, inflammables which act as sources to generate the conductive gaseous substance is reduced, and the gas seal effect of an inorganic seal layer 13 which is sandwiched between a tape-wound fireproof inner layer 12 and a tape-wound fireproof outer layer 14 can be displayed sufficiently, and a high insulating property due to the fireproof layers can be stabilized.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of the calking work of a compression terminal, by providing a burr absorbing groove to which a round form is given, to the ridge angle part of the die dividing part of a compression die main body, so as to prevent to make the bure generated in a high compression ratio, in a sharp form. SOLUTION: A terminal is compressed at a high compression ratio by using a compression die having a diagonal size Dd smaller than the compression outer diameter of the terminal. In the calking method of the above compression terminal, a burr absorbing groove E with a round form which can absorb a burr generated by the calking of the terminal is provided at the angular part between the compression surface and the dividing surface of a compression die main body. It is preferable to make the burr absorbing groove E at an area almost the same as or a little larger than the cross section area of a burr with a sharp form, and it is provided to the upper side or the lower side of the divided die, or provided to both dies. By calking the compression terminal by this compression die, a compression form of a die opposite side size Dc having a burr F2 with a round form is obtained. This burr F2 can be pressing cut in a flat form simply by using the compression die, and calking by rotating it 60 deg..
