CONSTITUTION:The titled manufacture is so constituted that a protective tape T is drawn out while the same is being made into contact with the inside in a piercing through-hole 12a of an extruding mold 12 or a piercing through-hole 13a of a shoe 13 in a sliding state and the tape T is pressed to weld to the external surface of a molding body M discharged through an extrusion mold 12 by making the tape T charge statically through sliding contact friction. The charge is generated large when tension is applied to the protective tape T to some extent within the piercing through- holes 12a, 13a or on this side of them and it follows that the protective tape T is stuck to the external surface of the molding body M by attracting the same. Sticking and covering of the protective tape T are completed prior to extrusion of the molding body M through an outlet of the extruding mold 12 or an outlet of the shoe 13, and when extrusion molding of the molding body M is performed in a predetermined cross-sectional form the external surface has been covered with the protective tape T already. The molding having gloss can be obtained easily in this manner.

A switch valve 8 leading alternately to both the paths 2 and 7 is provided at the branch point. The switch valve 8 is preferably made up of a rotary operating shaft with a notch or perforation leading to the flow paths 2 and 7. When the discharge of resin from the outlet 3 of the mold and production is stopped for any reason, the frequent occurrence of abnormal products due to the alteration of resin in the mold when production is restarted can thus be prevented.

When the prolective tape C is applied, the trim body T is under a post-extrusion-molding zonal heat state, the surface of the tape of the protective tape C is transferred to the external surface of the trim body T and the external surface can be formed into a uniform smooth surface. The protective tape C can be peeled off easily by a finger.
