摘要： PURPOSE:To improve erosion resistance and spalling resistance and to make effect of prevention to gas leakage much by using carbon-containing refractory as the outer circumferential refractory and arranging porous quality refractory in the inner part thereof. CONSTITUTION:The burnt or non-burned carbon-containing refractory of blended material containing 1-40wt.% carbon can the balance refractory aggregate as the essential material is used for the outer circumferential refractory 2. In the inner part thereof, gas permeable porous refractory 1 is arranged to form a porous plug for blowing gas. The porous refractory 1 is desirable to use alumina-base burnt product having corrosion resistance in common with spalling resistance. It is desirable to insert mortar between both refractories 1, 2. Side face and rear face of porous plug are covered with metal case 3 and a gas introducing tube 4 is connected to the rear face of metal case 3.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a porous refractory effective in preventing the deposition of non-metallic inclusion on a casting nozzle by kneading nad forming a composition composed mainly of cubic ZrO2 and ZrCaO2 and having a specific chemical composition and firing the formed product. CONSTITUTION:The objective refractory can be produced by kneading, forming and firing a composition composed of (A) 3-30wt.% of an electromelted refractory raw material composed mainly of cubic ZrO2 and ZrCaO2 as main mineral composition and having a chemical composition consisting of 10-50wt.% of CaO and the remaining part of ZrO2 and (B) the remaining part of one or more materials selected from alumina, magnesia and spinel. For imparting the gas- blowing function to the obtained refractory, the refractory is made to have high gas transmissible property (a porosity of about 15-30%) e.g. by adjusting the particle size of the refractory raw material or mixing a burn-off void- forming material to the composition. The porous refractory can be used for the gas-blowing part of a molten-iron casting nozzle such as sliding nozzle plate, upper nozzle, lower nozzle, immersion nozzle and long nozzle.

摘要： PURPOSE:To develop the porous plug having excellent spalling resistance, etc., by pressurizing, molding and sintering a raw material powder mixture composed of electromolten refractories of a ZrO2-CaO system and alumina, magnesia, spinel, etc., at the time of producing the porous plug for blowing gases to a molten steel. CONSTITUTION:The production of the porous plug to be used for making the uniformization of the temp. of the molten steel and the floatation of nonmetallic inclusions by blowing an inert gas, etc., to the molten steel is executed by adding a small amt. of a binder to the raw material mixture which consists of 3 to 25wt.% particulate matter of the electromolten refractories consisting of cubic ZrO2 and ZrCaO3 as the main ore compsn. and consisting of 5 to 40wt.% CaO as the chemical compsn. and the balance ZrO2 and consists of the balance one kind of the alumina, magnesia and spinal to prepare the raw material, pressurizing and molding the raw material mixture to a porous plug shape, then sintering the molding by heating for, for example, 4 hours at 1600 deg.C. The porous plug which is excellent in the property to prevent the penetration of the molten steel and the resistance to corrosion and spalling and has the long service life is thus obtd.

Successively, after forming into a brick-state, this is burnt at high temp. to expend the short fiber and granular material and the porous refractory 1 in which the granular porosities 3 are connected with the short fiber porosities 2 is manufactured.

The resultant nozzle for blowing gases has the spiral gas holes 4 passing therethrough formed in the vertical directions. In use, the peripheral part is preferably covered with a dense refractory 5 so as to prevent the gases from leaking from the side. An outer peripheral iron shell 6 and a gas inlet pipe 7, as necessary, are installed in the same manner as that in a conventional method.

摘要： PURPOSE:To perfectly prevent remaining to bubble into a cast steel by heating a porous nozzle after dipping into liquid pitch or tar and calking with the tar or pitch. CONSTITUTION:The porous nozzle is dipped into the liquid pitch or tar, but as this has large diameter holes and holes are communicated mutually, at the time of taking out this after dipping, the pitch or tar once impregnated flows out from the nozzles. The pitch or tar flows out only from the large holes and the small holes are clogged with the pitch or tar by action of capillarity and gas injection into the nozzle hole is ruled and confined to the large bubble. Further, the pitch or tar is carbonized with the calking treatment to improve the clogging strength in the small hole parts. If this is used under no calking condition, the clogging part is opened with gas pressure because the strength is insufficient. By this method, in the gas blowing for preventing the nozzle clogging, as the injection of small bubble is prevented, all of the bubbles are floated up and the remaining of the bubble in the cast steel is perfectly prevented.
