    • PURPOSE:To easily identify coin by exciting a primary coil by a low frequency signal and providing a normal secondary coil and a secondary coil with a small diameter to the secondary side. CONSTITUTION:A primary coil is wound around a primary side rectangular parallelopiped core 10, a secondary coil 21 is wound around a secondary side rectangular parallelopiped core 20 and a small diameter coil part 30 having a diameter smaller than the diameter of a coin 1 is embedded on the passage of the coin 1. On the other hand, regulating members 2, 3 for regulating the passage range of the coin 1 are formed between both the cores 10, 20. The composite output of the area, material and thickness of the coin is obtained from the secondary coil 21, the composite output of the diameter, material and thickness of the coin is obtained from the small diameter secondary coil 30 and the primary coil 11 is excited by a single frequency band.
