摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a player to count game media in the case of a small number and make a parlor assistant to do an operation of counting game media in a case of a great number. SOLUTION: The main body C of a counting device has a main throwing-in opening 1 and an auxiliary throwing-in opening 2 for receiving the game media. The auxiliary opening 2 has a smaller opening area than the main opening 1. The main opening 1 is provided with a shutter 3 as a closing member which can be displaced between a closed state for closing this opening and an opened state for opening it. A key card K of the parlor assistant is used as a switching means for displacing the shutter 3 from the closed state to the opened. The shutter 3 is normally left in the closed state. In the case of counting a small number of the media, the media can be received from the auxiliary opening 2 and counted. In the case of counting a great number of the media, the key card K of the parlor assistant is inserted into a key card reader 4 to put the shutter 3 in the opened state.
