    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity of a box making machine by shortening time required from loading to delivering of a corrugated board sheet in resetting in a paper feeding device of the box making machine for manufacturing corrugated board boxes.
      SOLUTION: A front butting plate 14 of the paper feeding device 10 is divided into a lower part structure 42 and an upper part structure 44. An axial plate 42b constituting the lower part structure 42 is connected to the piston rod 26 of an air cylinder 24, and the rapid elevating and lowering of the lower part structure 42 is enabled by the air cylinder 24. A bottomed hollow cylinder 56 integrated with the upper part structure 44 is screwed with the output shaft 58 of a motor 48 to enable the low-speed elevating and lowering. When the corrugated board sheet c is loaded in the paper feeding device 10, a clearance s2 is closed by lowering the lower part structure 42. When the corrugated board sheet c is delivered to a box making line, the lower part structure 42 is elevated, and the clearance s2 is set 1.5 times as thickness as the corrugated board sheet c. The upper surface 54 of the lower part structure 42 when elevated is locked in a stopper surface 44a of the upper part structure 44.
