    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce erroneous detection of a radio wave arrival direction by changing a mode vector to a measured value in a radar device which detects the arrival angle of a reflection signal from a target by using the mode vector.SOLUTION: In a radar device which performs reception processing of each of reflection signals received from a target by a plurality of antennas and calculates the arrival angle of the reception signal based on a mode vector, the arrival angle calculation method includes: acquiring a reflection wave from a virtual target existing at a predetermined angle and at a specified distance from the radar device as reception signal data; extracting a reception signal of a frequency equivalent to the distance of the virtual target from the radar device; performing eigenvalue decomposition for a covariance matrix obtained from the reception signals by calculation; acquiring a characteristic vector corresponding to the eigenvalue obtained by retrieving the maximum value among the acquired eigenvalues; storing the characteristic vector in a memory as a mode vector of a measured value in the predetermined angle; and calculating the arrival angle of the reception signal by using the mode vector of the measured value stored as the mode vector.
