摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital predistortion processing apparatus for performing predistortion, and a method of optimizing a parameter of a predistorter. SOLUTION: A digital predistortion processing apparatus includes: a predistorter which predistorts a data source signal to be provided to a non-linear device and outputs the predistorted signal; a signal converting device for converting an output signal from the non-linear device into an output signal converted to the same format as the data source signal; a delay device which delays the data source signal for a fixed time approximately equal to the required time from generation of the data source signal to output of the converted output signal and outputs the delayed data source signal; and a parameter optimizing device which calculates a first cost function reflected with a difference between statistical characteristics of the converted output signal and statistical characteristics of the data source signal and optimizes a parameter of the predistorter in accordance with the first cost function. SOLUTION: An amplifier has: a predistorter 100' that distorts digital signals to be amplified in advance; a digital/analog converter 108 that converts previously distorted digital signals to analog signals; an amplification unit 103 that amplifies the analog signals; and a predistortion controller 110' that controls the predistorter according to the signal fed back from the amplification unit. The predistortion controller specifies power of two side lobes, left and right, of the frequency spectrum of signals fed back from the amplification unit, and specifies a cost function according to the power of the two side lobes to control the predistorter according to the cost function.
