    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a plasma display device which defines a range of display cell with an electrode structure, thereby having no improper display caused by the spread of discharge, and having a high display-cell density.
      SOLUTION: The plasma display device comprising a plurality of common electrodes X which are formed on a first substrate and extend in a first direction, a plurality of scanning electrodes Y which are formed on the first substrate and extend in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and a plurality of address electrodes A which are formed on a second substrate, extend in the first direction, and are paired with the common electrodes, wherein discharge space is defined between the first substrate and the second substrate, display cells are defined within the areas in which the scanning electrodes cross the common and address electrodes, a scanning pulse is applied successively to the scanning electrodes Y while an address pulse is applied selectively to the address electrodes A in synchronization with the scanning pulse, to select the lighting or non-lighting of each of the display cells, and a sustain pulse is applied between the common electrodes and the scanning electrodes to induce sustain discharge in the lighted display cells.

      SOLUTION: The drive circuit is provided which has: a 1st signal line (OUTA) which can be connected to a capacitive load; a 2nd signal line (OUTB) which can be connected to the capacitive load; a 1st switch (SW1) which is connected between the 1st signal line and a 1st potential; a 2nd switch (SW21) which is connected between the 1st signal line and a 2nd potential; a capacitor (C1) which is connected between the 1st and 2nd signal lines; a 3rd switch (SW31) which is connected between the 2nd signal line and 2nd potential; and coil circuits (A, B) which are connected between at least one of the 1st and 2nd signal lines and the 2nd potential. At least one of the 2nd switch and 3rd switch has series-connection constitution of a plurality of n-channel field-effect transistors.
