The movable contact is displaced as an actuating part is actuated, and is oppositely disposed to the stationary contact so as to be contacted with the stationary contact or separated from the stationary contact. The housing includes a protrusion that protrudes toward the side of the stationary contact opposite to the movable contact.

In the electromagnetic relay, the movable contact spring member includes: a first through-hole 57a formed on the terminal 60; a tube portion 58a formed in an edge of the first through-hole 57a and protruding from the surface of the terminal 60; and a second through-hole 56a formed in the contact spring element 51 and receiving the tube portion 58a. The contact spring element 51 and the terminal 60 are fixed to each other by caulking the end part of the tube portion 58a penetrating through the second through-hole 56a and protruding from the surface of the contact spring element 51 while the tube portion 58a is inserted in the second through-hole 56a.

      SOLUTION: The electromagnetic relay 10 is provided with a base 12 and an electromagnetic unit 14 and a contact point 16 assembled on the base 12. The electromagnetic unit 14 is provided with an electromagnet 24 with a coil 30 and an armature 26 driven by the electromagnet 24. The contact point 16 is provided with a fixed contact point member 40 with a fixed contact point 38 and a movable contact point leaf spring member 44 with a movable contact point 42. The contact point 16 has a normally-closed contact point structure in which the fixed contact point 38 and the movable contact point 42 are conductively contacted when the electromagnet 24 is not excited, while the fixed contact point 33 is positioned between the movable contact point 42 and the armature 26. In the electromagnet unit 14, the armature 26 is shifted by the excitation of the electromagnet 24 in the pushing dirction of the movable contact point leaf spring member 44, and the movable contact point 42 is dislocated from the fixed contact point 38.
