If a contact open signal is inputted when the first contact part 421, 461 and the second contact part 422, 462 are closed, a control unit 7 controls the first voltage and the second voltage in such a manner that the first contact part 421, 461 is opened after the second contact part 422, 462 is opened.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay of a simple structure which surely throws in a high voltage and cuts it off.
      SOLUTION: First and second fixed contact terminals (51 and 52) are mounted on a resin base block (10). First and second forked moving pieces (45 and 46) are integrally formed on the end of a spring member (40), coupled to a yoke (30). When a coil is not excited, the first and second moving pieces are brought into contact with a back stop plate (11), being away from first and second fixed contact elements, and will not be conductive. When the coil is excited, contact elements (45a and 46a) attached to the first and second moving pieces come into contact with elements (51a and 52a), respectively, which are attached to the first and second fixed contact elements, so that conduction between the first fixed contact terminal and the second fixed contact terminal is obtained. The spring member is coupled to an armature (47) at the one part thereof and to the yoke (30) at the other part thereof via a sheet-shaped electrical insulating material (80).

      SOLUTION: The electromagnetic relay 10 is provided with a base 12 and an electromagnetic unit 14 and a contact point 16 assembled on the base 12. The electromagnetic unit 14 is provided with an electromagnet 24 with a coil 30 and an armature 26 driven by the electromagnet 24. The contact point 16 is provided with a fixed contact point member 40 with a fixed contact point 38 and a movable contact point leaf spring member 44 with a movable contact point 42. The contact point 16 has a normally-closed contact point structure in which the fixed contact point 38 and the movable contact point 42 are conductively contacted when the electromagnet 24 is not excited, while the fixed contact point 33 is positioned between the movable contact point 42 and the armature 26. In the electromagnet unit 14, the armature 26 is shifted by the excitation of the electromagnet 24 in the pushing dirction of the movable contact point leaf spring member 44, and the movable contact point 42 is dislocated from the fixed contact point 38.
