    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable that makes a drawing force of the outer layer sheath longitudinally adjustable accurately with a little variance, ensuring easiness of the removal and that also makes protrusion of the inner layer sheath suppressed.
      SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable is obtained by covering coated optical fibers with a jacket comprising at least two layers of an inner and an outer layer sheath 3, 4. On the outer face of the inner layer sheath 3 in contact with the outer layer sheath 4, there are provided one or more projections 3a which are continuous in the longitudinal direction. Also, a winding tape 5 can be arranged between the inner and outer layer sheaths 3, 4. The outer layer sheath 4 can be formed by closely arranging to the inner face a metallic protective layer machined into bellows, wherein the projections 3a of the inner layer sheath 3 may have intermittent recesses formed to which the metallic protective layer in the shape of the bellows is fitted.

In addition, on the internal face of the outer layer sheath 4, there is provided a metallic protective layer machined into accordion-folds. For the winding tape 5, one with different materials stuck together can be used such as the one with a plastic film and a nonwoven fabric of a plastic fiber adhered to each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber unit, having identifiability of the optical fiber units from each other and identifiability of thread like fibers and coated optical fibers, and to provide an optical fiber cable.
      SOLUTION: At the time of integrating a plurality of the coated optical fibers 11 of different coating colors by winding the coated optical fibers 11 with the thread like fibers 12, the thread like fibers 12 are formed of stripe patterns by the identification colors for identifying the optical fiber units 10 by using the different colors for every optical fiber unit 10 and the separating colors that are not used as the identification colors of any of the optical fiber units 10. Consequently, the optical fiber units 10 can be identified easily by the identification colors, constituting the stripe patterns of the thread like fibers 12 and can be identified easily from the coated optical fibers 11 of the single color by the separating colors of the stripe patterns.
