The connector assembly has an effect that the engagement of the connectors is thereby released from any side.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein engagement between a plug connector and a socket connector can only be released on the plug connector end in a connector assembly, where the plug connector has in its housing a latch arm having a latch claw projecting in the radially expanding direction of the housing, where the socket connector has in its housing an engaging part for engaging the latch claw, and where both connectors are fitted to each other when the latch claw and the engaging part are locked in-between, while both the connectors are released from each other, when the latch claw and the engaging part are unlocked in-between.
      SOLUTION: The connector assembly provided with an operating part for releasing the fitted/engaged state of the connectors is also provided on the socket connector end, as well as, on the plug connector end. As a result, the fitted state of both connectors can be released effectively from either end.
