    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, which even a wheel-chaired operator can operate for removing a jammed recording paper sheet to restart the driving and for supplying recording paper sheets. SOLUTION: A recording paper sheet taken out of a recording paper storing part 3 is passed through a paper transport path 5 provided along the front of the image forming apparatus and sent out to a paper discharge tray 4 through an image forming part 2. The paper transport path includes a transport path cover 51 opened toward the front, and by opening at a jammed paper sheet can be removed from the front. At the time, the transport path cover is divided into two or more parts to reduce the vertical dimension, whereby in opening, the projection length can be reduced. On the other hand, a paper feed tray 31 is drawn sideways and provided with a handle 32 on the front, whereby the tray can be drawn from the front.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which is easy for an operator in a seating state such as a wheelchair user to operate by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An operation part 3 is formed in a bow shape with an arc-shaped peripheral face backward, and is placed on a front face side of a housing 1 to slide in a horizontal direction both rightward and leftward from a center line of the housing 1 along the peripheral face. A display 4 is set at a central part of the operation part 3, and similar operation keys 5a and 5b are set at both sides of the display 4. The operator in a state in which he or she is seated in the wheelchair positions a side face of the wheelchair to be opposite to a front face 1a of the housing 1, and draws out the operation part 3 either leftward or rightward from the housing 1. Thus the operator comes to face almost right opposite to the display 4 and the operation key 5, and can easily manipulate these display and key.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus allowing an operator standing in front of the apparatus to easily operate it, and also allowing an operator sitting on a wheel chair to easily perform an operation such as paper feeding or recovery of a paper jam.
      SOLUTION: In this image forming apparatus, a sheet storing portion 3 for storing a stack of a plurality of recording sheets and sequentially supplying the recording sheets to an image forming portion has a tray pullout frame 32 that can be pulled out to the front side of the apparatus and a sheet tray 31 provided in the tray pullout frame. The sheet tray stores recording sheets, and the tray pullout frame can be pulled out to a lateral side while the frame is mounted in the apparatus. The recording sheets are fed from the sheet tray to the front side, and conveyed to the image forming portion in the above part along the front surface of the apparatus body. The front part of the tray pullout frame can be open as the frame is mounted to the apparatus main body, so that the recording sheet transport path can be open and the apparatus can be restored upon a paper jam.

In the active state of the air discharge fan 23, the filter 24 is deformed or displaced with the pressure of the air flowing from the beneath as compared with the non active state of the air discharge fan 23, and the deformation or the displacement of the filter 24 is released when the discharge fan 23 is stopped.

CONSTITUTION:A magnetic catch 20 arranged on a main-body frame 4 on the side of an opening in an electrophotographic duplicator or the like has a magnet 22 provided at a position fixed to a retaining member 21, with a yoke member 23 urged in its projected direction by the use of a conductive elastic body 24. A bracket 27 made of a material attracted to the magnet 22 is also provided to a covering member 5 at a position corresponding to the magnetic catch 20, and when it is attracted at its projected portion 28 to the magnet 22 of the magnetic catch 20, the covering member 5 is electrically connected to the main-body frame 4 in such a condition that the conductive elastic body 24 may be compressed via the yoke member 23.
