    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle dispersion liquid for a display, which comprises a system including first particles that move in accordance with an electric field and have a first functional group on the surfaces thereof, and a dispersant having a second functional group in the opposite polarity to that of the first functional group and further includes second particles, and which suppresses color mixing of a color by the first particles and a color by the second particles, compared to a particle dispersion liquid that does not use the above second particles.SOLUTION: The particle dispersion liquid for a display includes: first particles that move in accordance with an electric field and have a first functional group on the surfaces of the particles; a dispersant having a second functional group in an opposite polarity to that of the first functional group; second particles that move in accordance with an electric field, have a color and charging characteristics different from those of the first particles, and have at least one group selected from a phenyl group, a hydroxyl group and an alkyl group on the surfaces thereof; and a dispersion medium.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing silver triangular pyramid particles, each having a triangular pyramid shape and a single plasmon-absorption wavelength within the optical wavelength range, and the silver triangular pyramid particles manufactured by the method. SOLUTION: An electrolyte layer 34 is contained in a reaction container 12 and comprises an electrolyte 32 containing at least silver ions 30 and a surfactant.
