    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to solve insufficiency of visibility due to a shortage of light quantity of a reflective liquid crystal display device for a color image display without requiring a complicated change of constitution, especially to provide a method to solve deterioration of visibility due to a shortage of light quantity of a reflective liquid crystal display device for a color image display without seriously upsetting a color balance. SOLUTION: Relating to a reflective liquid crystal display for a color image display 10, color filters 12 are provided on a side of a liquid crystal cell and besides a light diffusing and reflecting layer 19 having a light reflecting and diffusing surface is arranged at an outside position of the color filters 12 or at a position opposite to the side where the color filters 12 are located with respect to the liquid crystal cell. The reflective liquid crystal display for the color image display is characterized by fluorescent pigment layers 18 which are arranged at positions corresponding to pixels of the color filters 12 on the surface of the light diffusing and reflecting layer 19 and which are excited with lights passing through the pixels and emit lights having hues of the pixels. The fluorescent pigment layers 18 can also be arranged on a surface of a light diffusing and reflecting electrode of a type of a liquid crystal cell utilizing a transparent substrate equipped with a transparent electrode for driving a liquid crystal material and a substrate equipped with the light diffusing and reflecting electrode for driving the liquid crystal material.

    • PURPOSE:To form a color print superior in color reproduction performance and image sharpness and high in whiteness on a nonimage part by rapid development processing. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photographic sensitive material has silver halide emulsion layers containing cyan, magenta, and yellow couplers, respectively, and plural nonphotosensitive layers on a reflective base. At least one of silver halide layers contains >= average 90mol% silver chloride and at least one kind of yellow coupler represented by the formula is incorporated in the yellow coupler-containing layer, and at least one of the nonphotosensitive layers is a colored layer decolorable by processing. This photosensitive material undergoes development processing within 60sec by a color developer not containing substantially any sulfite after image exposure. In the formula, X is an atomic group necessary to form an N-containing together with N atom; Y is an aromatic or a heterocyclic group; and Z is a group to be released by reaction of this coupler with the oxidation product of a color developing agent.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the silver halide color photographic sensitive material adapted to rapid processing and superior in color tone reproduction performance by mixing a silver halide emulsion spectrally sensitized so as to become sensitive to a primary color in a complementary color relation to a color developing dye, with another silver halide emulsion spectrally sensitized to at least one primary color of residual primary colors so as to satisfy specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion (a) sensitized to the primary color in a complementary color relation to the color developing dye is mixed with the silver halide emulsion (b) spectrally sensitized to at least one of the residual primary colors in a silver in (a) to silver in (b) ratio of 1.0-0.1, and the sensitivity of the emulsion (b) is regulated to 1/3-1/32 of the sensitivity of the emulsion (c) spectrally sensitized to the same primary color and this emulsion is contained in an emulsion layer containing a coupler developing a color in a complementary color relation to the primary color to which the emulsion (b) is sensitized, thus permitting the obtained silver halide color photographic sensitive material to obtain both of high-density color tone reproduction performance and rapid processing aptitude.
