摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent damage resistance and color image stability from being deteriorated and also restrain contamination by a processing liquid and a rise in the minimum image density by putting a non-sensitized atomized silver halide emulsion, a polymer having hydroquinone skeleton, and an ultraviolet absorber in a protecting layer. CONSTITUTION:A non-sensitized atomized silver halide emulsion and/or an atomized silver halide emulsion having the surface and/or inside of its particles covered are contained in a protecting layer or hydrophilic colloid and a polymer or coplymer having cyclic units including hydroquinone skeleton and an ultraviolet absorber are also contained in the protecting layer. The polymer or copolymer having cyclic units including hydroquinone skeleton is preferably a compound expressed by the formular I or II. The effect of restraining a rise in D min using the atomized emulsion in the protecting layer and a coupler in a sensitized emulsion layer adjacent the protecting layer is remarkable when the coupler shows high activity.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obviate the generation of an adverse influence on photographic performance in spite of preservation at and under high temp. and high-humidity conditions by incorporating an emulsion layer contg. specific flat plate silver halide particles into emulsion layer and incorporating a specific silver halide emulsion stabilizing material in a solid state into silver halide emulsion layers and/or hydrophilic colloidal layers. CONSTITUTION:The emulsion contg. the flat plate silver halide particles having the particle diameter of >=3 times the thickness of the particles is incorporated into at least one layer of the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers. These particles occupy at least 50% of the total projection area of the silver halide particles existing in the same layer. In addition, such silver halide emulsion stabilizing material which has the solubility in water at 9.5 pH of >=3 times the solubility in water of 6.0 pH is incorporated in the solid state into at least layer of the silver halide emulsion layers and/or hydrophilic colloidal layers. The degradation in the photographic performance is obviated in this way in spite of preservation under the high-temp. and high-humidity conditions.

CONSTITUTION:The dry film thickness on the color picture forming side of a photosensitive material is controlled to =6.0. The degree of swelling is obtained by dividing the thickness of the swollen film (thickness of picture layer on the photosensitive layer side of a support) by the dry film thickness. Consequently, formalin harmful to the stabilizing bath need not be used, and a preservable color picture excellent in scratch resistance after development is obtained without reducing the desilvering rate in development and drying rate.

The compd. represented by the formula I extremely enhances interimage effect and the emulsion prevents a change of edge effect during development and can improve sharpness and graininess.
