    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float switch detecting, by one piece, liquid level required for automatic operation control of a submersed pump, and certainly operating regardless of its compact size. SOLUTION: A slide guide axis 5 including a lead switch 7 therein is housed in a float 2. A sliding magnet 6 is made slidable in the axial direction of the slide guide axis 5 by the tilt of the float 2. Holding magnets 9a and 10a are provided on both sides of the slide guide axis 5, and the upper holding magnet 10 and the sliding magnet 6 are in a absorbed state until the float 2 tilts upward at a setting angle. When the float 2 tilts upward more than the setting angle, the absorbed state is released so that the sliding magnet 6 falls to close a contact 8 of the lead switch 7. The upper holding magnet 9 and the sliding magnet 6 are in the absorbed state until the float 2 tilts downward at the setting angle. When the float 2 tilts downward more than the setting angle, the absorbed state is released so that the sliding magnet 6 falls to close the contact 8 of the lead switch 7.
