    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float switch using a non-contact switch, free from malfunction even in a turbid liquid or in a liquid containing a large quantity of suspended matter. SOLUTION: The float switch includes: a cylindrical magnet holder 11 inserted from the outer periphery of a float 10 toward the center; a magnet body 12 inserted in an inside of the magnet holder 11 and sliding between one end and the other end of the magnet holder 11 by tilting of the magnet holder 11 due to vertical movement of the float 10; a non-contact switch 14 provided at a one end of the magnet holder 11 and arranged to face with one pole of the magnet body 12 having moved to the side of the one end; and a cushioning means 13 arranged at the one end of the magnet holder 11 to be interposed between the magnet body 12 and the non-contact switch 14 and not shielding a magnetic field between the magnet body 12 and the non-contact switch 14 when the magnet body 12 moves to the side of the one end.
