    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective technology for stable filtration in a wastewater treatment apparatus having a filter.
      SOLUTION: The wastewater treatment apparatus uses the principle of an extruded flow so that treated water from a carrier-fluidizing biological filtration tank 30 flows into a treated water tank 40 through an opening 32. An air lift pump 70 for supplying the treated water from the tank 30 to the filter 60 is installed in the downstream part 30b of the tank 30. The treated water which passed through the filter 60 is returned to the downstream part 30b of the tank 30 through return piping 74. Since filtration is carried out in a route different from a transfer route by the extruded flow through the opening 32, the water level of the tank 30 can be kept constant. In this way, since a constant amount of the treated water can be supplied to the filter 60 through the pump 70, stable filtration performance can be obtained.
