    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and lightweight device with simple constitution capable of easily and surely switching and connecting an optical connector. SOLUTION: Bearings 21a, 21b are arranged on a first connector holder 16 holding a first optical connector 1 in a device case 13. The bearings 21a, 21b are ratably movably fitted to cam grooves 23a, 23b of a cam groove plate 22. The cam groove plate 22 is vertically moved interlocked with rotation of a connector forward/backward operation lever 25, and the first optical connector 1 is forward/backward moved for a second optical connector 7. A second connector holder 34 holding the second optical connector 7 is moved vertically slidably. The frost optical connector 1 is separated from the second optical connector 7, and the second connector holder 34 is vertically moved, and the switch connective position of the second optical connector 7 is decided by a positioning stopper 50 and engagement between a switch pawl 54 and a recessed part 57, and the first optical connector 1 is advances and abutted on the second optical connector 7, and the optical connectors are connected and switched.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch device which has low connection loss and high reliability such as superior reproducibility of the connection loss and can perform stable switching operation and is in simple structure and made small-sized, high in density, and low in price. SOLUTION: The optical switch device 1 is equipped with a substrate 11 having plural fiber holes into which at lest one single-unit fiber to be moved and switched is inserted, and pin holes in which fitting pins are fitted, and multi-unti connector 12 having plural optical fibers exposed in its abutting end surface at the same pitch with the fiber holes and pin holes formed at the position corresponding to the pin holes are arranged opposite each other while having the fiber holes and optical fibers aligned with each other by the fitting pins 14 fitted in the respective pin holes. Further, this device is equiped with a driving mechanism 20 which holds a switching point 10 opposite arranged substrate 11, multi-unit connector 12 arranged in plural arrays in the array direction of the fiber and at least one single-unit fiber 8 and moves them in the array direction of the opposite arranged substrates 11 and multi-unlti connector 12, and makes an abutting connection with the desired optical fiber 8 of the multi-unit connector 12 by inserting the 8 into the specific hole among plural fiber holes.
