摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mechanical strength with respect to the tensile force applied between a flat electric wire and a connecting terminal by providing a first lock section on the flat electric wire, and providing a second lock section which is locked with the first lock section on a holder. SOLUTION: A lock hole 10d (first lock section) provided on the reinforcing piece 10c of a film electric wire 10 is locked on a lock pin 17b (second lock section), provided on a holder 17. When the reinforcing piece 10c is pulled to the lock pin 17b site to lock the lock hole 10d on the lock pin 17b, the upper section of the lock pin 17b is fused and crushed by heat or ultrasonic waves to form a release stop. The film electric wire 10 is connected directly mechanically to the holder 17 by the reinforcing piece 10c, and the mechanical strength with respect to the tensile force applied between the film electric wire 10 and a connecting terminal is improved. When a lock hole 10d is locked on the lock pin 17b, connecting pieces 10a, 10b on both sides of the reinforcing piece 10c are folded in a loosened state, so that even if excess tensile force is acted upon, direct receipt of the action can be avoided.

Each of the radars monitors divided zones B to D in the area, scans and sends an electric wave whose band width is spread by a PN(pseudo noise) code different from that of the other radar to a divided zone monitored by itself, receives a reflected wave to the electric wave from the article to be monitored, sets a delay time of the PN code to a time corresponding to a distance from the radar to the area, and detects the divided zone where the article to be monitored exists based on presence of correlation in each of the radars.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a photodetecting system having the small loss of an optical signal and high reliability. CONSTITUTION:The output light of a light source 11 on the transmission side is transmitted through an optical fiber 12 to the reception side. A polarization plane modulator 13 is arranged in the middle of the optical fiber 12, and polarization plane modulation is applied to the light outputted from the light source. A photocoupler 16 is arranged on the terminal side of the optical fiber 12, and light generated by a light source 17 is mixed into the polarization plane modulated light. By mixing the mixing light from this light source 17, the polarization plane change of the polarization plane modulated light is converted into the change of a beat signal at an optical power level corresponding to the wavelength difference between the polarization plane modulated light and the mixing light. At a photodetector 14, the change of the beat signal at the optical power level is detected, and the polarization plane modulation is detected.

Then, the light propagating in the optical fiber 7 is efficiently modulated from outside the optical fiber without depending on the polarization of the incident light on the optical fiber.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of sensing an occupant's weight by conducting a calibration of an initial value of load sensor from weight information from the sensor in the case of detecting no occupant on a vehicle seat by a seat sensor. SOLUTION: The system for sensing an occupant comprises load sensors 10a to 10d, a seat sensor 15, a CPU 31, and a detector 32. When a drive signal is input, the CPU 31 judges whether the sensor 15 is normal or not. If an output value P2 is much lower level than a voltage value V, the sensor 15 judges that the sensor 15 is normal. In a no load state, a resistance value of a sensor 24 is held always infinite, and an output value P1 of the sensor becomes a predetermined voltage value. Since information of the voltage value is not changed in the no load state, the CPU 31 judges that no occupant is present from the information. Simultaneously, the CPU 13 inputs initial weight information from the sensors 10a to 10d, and calibrates reference voltages of the respective load sensors based on the information.

A light source which emits the polarized light beams having a wavelength distribution is used for the light source 1. The >=2 light sources which emit the polarized light beams having the different wavelength distributions are used for the light source 1.

Thus, in the case when any complicated thermal-strain is generated between both electrodes 1 and 3, the control electrode 1 can be moved in the direction for cancelling thermal-strain via the insulating spacer 4, so that the strain can be absorbed.
