SOLUTION: An assembling jig 1 is for assembling optical parts by fixing end parts of plural optical fibers between two blocks, an arrangement part 10 across which plural optical fibers are arranged, and a parts fixing part 20 are provided, and the arrangement part 10 is provided with a positioning block 12 which individually positions the end parts of plural optical fibers, a driving member 13 which moves plural optical fibers in the arrangement direction together with the positioning block, and a separation block 14 which is supported on the driving member and separates optical fibers into individual optical fibers in the arrangement direction, and the parts fixing part 20 is provided with a positioning substrate 22 which is arranged adjacent to the arrangement part 10 and positions plural arranged optical fibers respectively, a cover plate 23 which is arranged on plural optical fibers positioned on the positioning substrate, and a pressing member 24 which presses the cover plate onto the positioning substrate 22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and device for optical component alignment which can speedily and accurately determine an alignment position even if optical components have variance in size, etc. SOLUTION: A 1st optical connector is arranged on the side of a 1st stage 5 and a 2nd optical connector 4 is arranged on the side of a 2nd stage 6 respectively. On the side of the 1st stage 5, a laser 8 which emits laser light having a laser belt surface on an X-Y plane from the X-direction and a laser receiving device 9 are provided, and the distance between the left end of the laser belt plane and the connection end surface 32a of the 1st optical connector 3 is set to 50μm. A stage moving mechanism 25 moves a 2nd stage 6 to put the 2nd optical connector 4 close to the 1st optical connector 3, the cutoff quantity of the laser light cut off by the connection end surface 32b of the 2nd optical connector 4 is detected to detect the connection end surface interval between the 1st and 2nd optical connectors 3 and 4, and the movement quantity of the 2nd stage 6 is adjusted according of the connection end interval to determine the alignment positions of the 1st and 2nd optical connectors 3 and 4.

The actuator control means 41 varies the up-down straight advance and reaction quantities of the straight movement actuators 40a, 40b, and 40c independently of one another to move the optical component base 1 in the Y-axial direction, theta slanting direction, and X-axial direction in the figure.

CONSTITUTION:The fixing device for optical components trough welding is equipped with an X-Y stage 10 which fixes the 1st optical component and.also aligns the optical axis of the 1st optical component in the X-Y direction, the fixed disk 20 which is a disk having its outer periphery formed spherically and has a fixing means for fixing the 2nd optical component 6 to the axial and radius-directional center of the disk so that the contact surface faces the contact surface of the 1st optical component 5, the grip member 30 which is mounted with the fixed disk movably in the axial direction and grips the outer periphery of the fixed disk in a free opening state, a Z stage 40 which matches the contact surfaces fo the 1st and 2nd optical components with each other by moving the grip member in the Z--axial direction, and a laser projection head which welds and fixes the 1st and 2nd optical components having their optical axes aligned with each other while the contact surfaces are matched each other in the center of the fixed disk.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and the operating mechanism by disposing one set of installation base by inclining it at a prescribed angle against the surface on which a butt groove of a butt member is formed, and providing a driving state that the butt member can be separated and brought into contact freely from and with the tip side of both optical fibers installed to one set of installation base. CONSTITUTION:An installation base 20 is fixed to a supporting wall 1b by inserting a positioning bolt 25 through a positioning hole 3 formed like a circular arc in the supporting wall 1b, and by a thumbscrew 26 screwed to the tip. The installation base 20 is fixed to the supporting wall 1b by inclining it at a prescribed angle against the upper face of a butt member 10. Also, a driving means 40 is installed on a baseplate 1a of a pedestal 1, has a driving motor 41 and a cam 42, and the driving motor 4 is driven by a prescribed power source 43, and allows the butt member to ascend and descend by a cam 42 attached axially to the tip of a rotation axis 41a. In such a way, an inexpensive simple butting device for an optical fiber whose structure and operating mechanism are simplified, and whose number of constituting parts is small is obtained.
