    • PURPOSE:To effectively use a relay line, by interrupting an exchange circuit not temporarily used for terminals, holding a call between the terminals during communication even under the interruption and resetting an exchange line for the request of reuse. CONSTITUTION:In a data communication of a terminal T1 with a terminal T3, the terminal T1 transmits a call set request signal S1 including discriminating information of the terminal T3 to an exchange E1, which transmits a call set request signal S2 to an exchange E2. The exchange E2 transmits a call signal S3 to the terminal T3. The terminal T3 responds with a response signal S4, the exchanges E2, E1 transmit response signals S5, S6, a subscriber line and a relay line are connected (CT1) and the data transfer (D1) is performed mutually. When the terminal T1 does not temporarily use the line, interruption request signals S7, S8 and an interruption signal S9 release (SP) relay lines temporarily. The exchanges E1, E2 hold the calls of the terminals T1 and T3 even during releasing and rejecting the incoming call from other terminals. When a data transmission request is given to the terminal T1, the exchanges E1, E2 connect (CT2) the relay line and the subscriber line with restart request signals S10, S11 and S12, and reset the exchange lines.

    • PURPOSE:To attain effective use of an exchange line and to reduce processing load of terminals, by introducing an interruption cancellation signal between the terminals and an exchange network and releasing a call after the terminal releases the exchange line temporarily with an interruption signal. CONSTITUTION:When a terminal T1 forms a data communication line with a terminal T3 via an exchange network N1 for the transmission of data, a data monitor section 300 always monitors the data flow and gives an interruption request to an interruption controlling section 202 when no transmission/reception of data exists for a prescribed time or when an indication is given from a job processing section 100. When a controlling section 202 transmits an interruption request signal via a line controlling section 400, the N1 transmits a response signal to the terminal T1 and an interruption signal to the terminal T3, stores the interruption and opens relay lines. During this time, incoming calls from other terminals are rejected. When the release of a line is desired with the generation of a failure at the terminal T1, an interruption cancellation request is made from a failure processing section 500, a request signal is transmitted to the N1 and the release of a call is informed to a call controlling section 201. The exchange network N1 transmits an interruption canceling information signal to the T3 and clears the information of call in the N1.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively utilize a line, by temporarily releasing an exchange line when a data is not transmitted nor received, reseting the exchange line when a data transmitting or receiving signal has become necessary, and constituting so that the line can be interrupted when there is no data, even when a terminal is in the course of its service processing. CONSTITUTION:Terminals T1-T5 are connected to a switching network N1 of a line exchange system, and the service is performed by a service processing part 100 of the terminal T1. In this case, if communication with the terminal T3 of a remote place becomes necessary, a communication start request is outputted to a call control part 201, the control part 201 uses a line control part 400, and a call setting request to the terminal T3 is transmitted to the switching netowrk N1. Subsequently, the switching network N1 informs to the control part that said request has been informed to the terminal T3, and waits for a response of the control part 201. After a call has been set between the terminal T1 and T3, a repeating signal is sent out to the switching network N1, and a temporary release of the switching network N1 is requested. Also, flow of a data is monitored by a data monitoring part 300, and the line can be interrupted when there is no data, by which the line is utilized effectively.
