摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce resources inside an ATM(asynchronous transfer made) switch, required for the transfer of tone signals related to a telephone exchange system utilizing the ATM switch. SOLUTION: A fixed virtual path for transferring the tone signals is spread between a sound source side LU(line unit) device 102, connected to a sound source device 101 and respective subscriber side LU devices 104 connected to the terminal of a telephone system user requiring the tone signals. The fixed virtual path is spread one each for each kind of tone signals. In the case that the send-out request of one kind of the tone signals is generated from the terminal of the telephone system user, the subscriber side LU device 104 does not spread the new virtual path between the sound device 101, copies an ATM cell (sound source cell) storing the kind of the tone signals which are transferred through one fixed virtual path and sends out the copied sound source cell to the virtual path, corresponding to the terminal of the telephone system user requesting those kinds of tone signals.

Thus, a skew correction is normally performed at all times and any paper jam can be prevented from occurring.

And a paper sheet P is put into a conveying path with contrarotation equipped with a contrarotating means 4' by means of the gate 2 when the wrong side of the paper sheet is up. The paper sheet P forwarded to the contrarotating means 4' is brought to a contrarotation section 5 by a forwarding roller 7, and is stopped for a while at a stopper 10, and then is reversely forwarded by a forwarding means 6n for being forwarded to a junction point thereafter. In this case, the roller 17 is made large enough in diameter so that each of times required by said paths from the gate 2 to the junction point 3' may be identical. This constitution makes the order in discharging identical to the order in charging for eliminating a need for a housing section for the paper sheet P so as to employ a device of a small size whereby processing speeds are improved.
