    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the visual check and picking up of the returned bank notes in an apparatus which returns the bank notes once thrown in to the depositing port according to need, by returning the bank notes with their upper ends projecting so as to be readily picked up. CONSTITUTION:A user operates the operating part so that the apparatus is turned ON, and after a shutter 61 has been opened, bank notes 40 are deposited in a bundle from a depositing port 63. Consequently, the bank notes 40 are fed into between a conveyor 54 and a roller 55 and stopped by a stopper 59. When the deposition of the bank notes has been confirmed, the stoppr 29 retreats in the A direction, and the bank notes 40 are held between the conveyor 54 and the roller 55, carried and stopped by a stopping guide plate 60. Under said condition, the bank notes 40 are delivered one by one by a feed roller 58. In this case, the return the bank noes 40 stopped by the stopping guide plate 60 because of a mechanical failure or the like, the conveyor 54 is reversely operated so that the bank notes 40 are returned to the same position, shown by the solid lines, in the condition same as they were deposited, and the stopper 59 is moved forward.

    • PURPOSE:To perform rapid turn-over of a paper and to deliver papers in an incoming order, by a method wherein an impeller is located between turn guides crossing each other. CONSTITUTION:A paper 10, guided by a turn-over conveyance passage 2 and conveyed to a position in the vicinity of an impeller 9, is brought into slide contact with a vane 9a of the impeller 9, is sucked in a turn field 6, and is conveyed forward along a turn guide 7 on the incoming side. When the tip part of the paper is forced into contact with a stopper 8, since the rear end part of the paper is pressed by the vane 9a of the impeller 9 in a state to limit the progress of the tip part of the paper 10, the intermediate part of the paper 10 is bent in a manner to be separated from the turn guide 7. Thereafter, the rear end part is also moved to the turn guide 7 on the outgoing side, and is brought into a state to be extended along the turn guide 7 on the outgoing side. Since, even under this state, the impeller 9 is rotated, the vane 9a is now brought into slide contact with the opposite side surface of the paper 10, and when the paper is moved in a turn field 6, a portion, being heretofore a rear end part during incoming, forms a forward part and is delivered out.
