    • PURPOSE: To provide an electromagnetic relay which is small and has long life by providing an isolating member that isolates a contact portion from the coupled part of a drive portion and a movable portion. CONSTITUTION: This electromagnetic relay 1 comprises a contact portion 4 in which a moving contact 2 and a fixed contact 3 open and close; an oscillating portion 5 which oscillates the moving contact 2 of the contact portion 4; a fixing portion 7 by which the oscillating portion 5 is held in such a way as to freely oscillate; and a case 18 covering both the contact portion 4 and the oscillating portion 5. A mold guide portion 14 is formed integrally with a mold portion 11 to which an armature 10 having the moving contact 2 secured thereto is integrally secured in such a way that the portions of contact between the armature 10 and a yoke 16 are isolated from the contact portion 4 comprising the moving contact 2 and the fixed contact 3. The mold guide portion 14 of the oscillating portion 5 is formed on the side face of the armature 10 to form a partition between the gap between the armature 10 and the yoke 16 and the contact portion 4. Therefore, the guide portion 14 prevents dust generated by the collision of an unmagnetized plate 17 with the yoke 16 from scattering in the direction of the contact portion 4, so that contamination of the contact portion 4 by the dust can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify a structure, and also reduce electric power consumption by shifting a load of an armature composed of a movable contact point spring and a suction force generated by a permanent magnet in the direction for being strengthened on the normal open side, and sucking the edge part of the armature by means of an open side magnetic pole part even if a magnetic flux generated by a coil is small. CONSTITUTION:Though a movable contact point spring 1 and an armature 2 are formed integrally in the central part through an insulating body 6 so as to become parallel with each other, a support part 11 is twisted to the spring 1, so that a plane containing the support part 11 and a plane containing the spring 1 can cross each other when seen from the side surface. When seen from the side surface in an electric current unimpressed condition after the spring 1 is installed in a box body in this way, the support part 11 is supported with the box body, so that a plane containing the edge surfaces of magnetic pole parts 31 and 32 and a plane opposed to the magnetic pole parts 31 and 32 of the armature 2 can be expanded in one direction. Thereby, a suction force of the magnetic pole parts 31 and 32 generated by a permanent magnet 7 becomes asymmetrical between left and right as shown by a broken line, so that the suction force generated by the open side magnetic pole part 32 can be shifted in the direction for becoming larger than the suction force generated by the closed side magnetic pole part 31.

A movable mold 72 in which the springs 73a, 73b are insertion-molded is equipped with trapezoidal notches 73a, 73b which are made to agree with upper projections 82a4, 82b4 of the terminals 81a, 81b to position the spring set 7 relative to the electromagnet 6 while the spring set 7 is circularly moved like a seesaw to change over the circuit.

As a result, the thickness of the circumferential wall of the cover 6 except the regions corresponding to the external connection terminals is made thick in the region of the external connection installation, that is, the range of the region where connection electrodes of the substrate 4 are formed. Consequently, deformation and strain and damage of the cover due to the heat at the time of being mounted on the substrate 4 are prevented and the productivity is improved.

In the electromagnet 31 thus formed, when the specified current is applied to a coil 34, the contact pole 38 rotates clockwise around the supporting axis, the end 39 is magnetically attracted to the yoke 37' of iron segment. When current supply stops, a magnetic force for attracted disappears and the contact pole 38 returns to the initial mode.
