Consequently, even if the block 2 where the head 4 is positioned is at a maximum distance from the information recording parts 3a and 3b where the file control information is recorded, the quantity of movement of the head 4 to the information recording parts 3a and 3b becomes >=1/2 as large as before.

CONSTITUTION:The recording medium 2 has the magneto-optical recording characteristics that the medium attains a Curie temp. by irradiation with light and the magnetization is inverted by the magnetic field impressed from the electromagnet 4. The protective film 5 is provided on the recording medium 2 and is constituted of the copolymer formed by consisting the chief material of the acrylic resin of a UV curing type and the additive of the silicone resin substd. with the methacrylic group of the UV curing type and curing both by the UV rays. The protective film 5 obtd. in such a manner has the good slip to the electromagnet of the floating magnetic head, etc., and attains the CSS. The protective film 5 having the extremely high durability is thus formed. The CSS control is executed by forming the electromagnet into the floating magnetic head type.

    • PURPOSE:To improve recording characteristics by providing a magnetic field generating part holding plate which consists of a resin film and holds a magnetic field generating part near a laser beam focusing position in such a manner that the laser beam is not shielded and bringing the magnetic field generating part near to the recording medium without impairing the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:An optical head 20 contg. at least a laser light source 5 and an optical system 6 which focuses the laser beam emitted from the laser light source 5 to the prescribed position on the recording medium 1 positioned on the outer part and the annular magnetic field generating part 24 which has a hole 21a to obviate the shutting of the laser beam in the central part are provided. The magnetic field generating part holding plate 21 made of the resin film which is fixed to the optical head 20 and holds the magnetic field generating part 24 near the laser beam focusing position so as not to shield the laser beam is provided. Even if the magnetic field generating part 24 and eventually the front end of bellows come into contact with the recording medium, the bellows part 21c absorbs the contact force thereof and, therefore, the above-mentioned contact part easily retreats and does not break the recording medium. The head for magneto-recording disks having the good recording characteristics is obtd. in this way.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a head crush by forming groove parts on a peripheral part of a slider to be approximately orthogonal to the moving direction of the slider and also continuous until both ends of the slider. CONSTITUTION:Protrusion parts 11b and 1c are extendedly situated in the direction of a tangential line to a track of a disk, and this extended direction is approximately orthogonal to the moving direction of the slider 11 during a track seeking time. And, the groove parts 13a-13d are formed on the protrusion parts 11b and 11c along its extended direction. That is, in the case of a collision between the peripheral part of the slider and a disk surface, shock force of the collision given to this peripheral part acts as deforming force for narrowing the groove parts. By this method, since the shock force of the collision is released, a magnetic film on the disk surface is not damaged, and then the head crush is hence suppressed.

    • PURPOSE:To easily detect the presence or absence of harmful head touch at the shipping inspection after the completion of assembly of a magnetic disk device by fitting a vibration propagation rod provided with an electromechanical conversion element through the hole of a magnetic disk device dust-proof cover to a head fixed arm. CONSTITUTION:A tap hole is provided to the fixed arm 3 of the head 2 in opposition to the track of the magnetic disk 1 at a fine gap. A seat 7 mounting the electromechanical conversion element 15 is provided to the head of the vibration propagation rod 5 and a screw coincident with the thread hole is provided to the tip. The vibration propagation rod is inserted from the hole 10 of the dust-proof cover 9 and screwed and fixed to the tap hole of the head fixed arm. The electromechanical conversion element is adhered to the seat 7 of the vibration propagation rod and the abnormal vibration of the head fixed arm is detected. By such a constitution, the presence or absence of the harmful head touch is detected easily by the shipping inspection after the completion of assembly of the magnetic disk device.
