    • PURPOSE:To fix automatically the motion of a magnetic head and to prevent a storage surface from damaging by providing a detector which detects a power source for powering on a motor for magnetic disk driving being turned off, taking out the counter electromotive force of the motor by the detection signal of the detector, and fixing the movable part of a magnetic disk device by said force. CONSTITUTION:This fixing device consists of the detector 3 which detects a break of electric power supplied from an electric power unit to a DC brushless motor 1, a rectifying circuit 4 which rectifies the counter electromotive force of the DC brushless motor 1 obtained through a changeover switch 2, and an electromagnetic fixing mechanism 5 which operates to fix the movable part of the magnetic disk device by the counter electromotive force of the DC brushless motor 1 obtained through the rectifying circuit 4. If the DC brushless motor 1 is powered off owing to a stop of the use of the magnetic disk, power failure, etc., the detector 3 detects that and the changeover switch 2 is switched as shown in a figure, and the counter electromotive force generated by the brushless motor 1 is rectified by a rectifying circuit 4 to operate the fixing mechanism 5.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a magnetic head supporting part by a fan- shaped member, where a belt wound around the rotation shaft of a driving motor is fixed in the end part of the arc region, and a rotation shaft part provided in the center of this fan-shaped member. CONSTITUTION:A belt 10 is attached to the end part of the arc region of a fan- shaped member which is fixed to a rotation shaft 9 and has a carriage 11 on the surface, and the belt 10 is rotated and moved together with the carriage 11 with the rotation shaft 9 as the center by a pulse motor driving shaft 7. The length (the radius of the fan) between the head position and the center of the rotation shaft and the length (the radius of the disc) between the center of the rotation shaft and the center of the disc are determined properly to approximate the motion of the head to a linear motion. A sufficient stiffness is given to the rotation shaft 9 for the purpose of rotating and moving the head 12 and the disc while keeping the internal between them constant accurately.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce troubles by simplifying constitution by providing magnetic pole teeth to a magnetic-head supporting moving element and a stator which has counter magnetic pole teeth. CONSTITUTION:A disk 1 is turning as shown by an arrow Q, and on its surface, information tracks are formed concentrically at a prescribed pitch. When a magnetic head 2 is position at one track, a moving element 3 is driven as shown by an arrow R. Namely, magnetic pole tooth groups 31 and 33 provided to the moving element 3 are applied with magnetic suction force and magnetic repulsion force from counter magnetic pole tooth groups 61 and 62 provided to stators 4 and 5 respectively to move linearly in the radius direction of the disk 1 immediately.
