    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content retrieval system which is extremely high in the frequency of update of contents and can reduce a communication traffic to be distributed by operating a cache effectively even when the frequency of reference request by a client is low.
      SOLUTION: On the basis of a content reference request from the client 1 for generating the content reference request including specific information and attribute of a desired content, a cache server 2 checks whether or not there is a cache of the content. When there is no cache of the content held, synchronous mirroring processing based on the attribute is performed with a content server 3 after the content is cached from the content server 3 and the content is transmitted to the client 1, or, when the cache of the content is held, the same processing is performed after the maintained content is transmitted to the client 1.
