CONSTITUTION: This echo adjusting device has the ENC(electrosensitive type sound wave adsorption controlling) fluid compsn. prepd. by incorporating EA particles having an EA (electric field arrangement) effect into an electrically insulating medium and a pair of the electrode plates housing the ENC fluid compsn. in this spacing and has sound wave absorption control plates 39a to 39c extended on the outer peripheral surfaces of columnar members 31 and a voltage impressing and regulating means 60 for impressing voltage between a pair of the electrode plates and regulating this voltage. The EA particles form chain bodies when the voltage is impressed between a pair of the electrode plates. These chain bodies resonate with the sound waves of the frequencies coinciding with the characteristic frequencies and absorb these sound waves. The sound waves of the other frequencies are reflected. The characteristic frequencies of the chain bodies themselves are made to coincide with the frequencies of the components desired to be removed by regulating the impressed voltage.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a soundproof glass window which constitutes a glass window by using an electric sensitive type sound wave absorption control fluid composition based on an electric field arrangement effect and is capable of performing sound wave absorption control and provides an excellent sound insulating performance. CONSTITUTION: Two glass sheets 31 are arranged with a clearance where the peripheral edges of the glass sheets 31 are blocked in airtightness, thereby forming a double glazing glass window. A sound wave absorption control panel 20 is installed between the glass sheets 31 with a clearance where the panel 20 houses an electricity sensitive type sound wave control fluid composition which contains solid particles having an electric field arrangement effect in an electric insulating medium in the clearance between a pair of transparent boards 27 and 28 laid out as opposed with a clearance on the internal surface of the glass sheets 31 and an electrode board comprising transparent conducting layers 17 and 18. Voltage is applied between the paired transparent conducting layers 17 and 18. There are also provided an electric supply source 13 and a switch 14 which makes it possible to vary the application voltage.

Additionally, one electrode plate 18 of a pair of the electrode plates 17, 18 facing against each other with a clearance between them is fixed on an inner peripheral surface of a pair of horizontal parts facing against each other of the muffler case 27, an ENC fluid composition constituted by containing solid particulates having an electric field arranging effect in an electric insulating medium is stored between a pair of the electrode plates 17, 18, and voltage is applied to a pair of the electrode plates 17, 18 by a variable electric power source 13.

    • PURPOSE: To decrease the noises generated by a refrigerator itself by providing the refrigerator with a sound absorbing device composed of a pair of electrode plates having ENC fluid compsns. between the electrode plates and a means for variable regulating the voltage to be impressed. CONSTITUTION: The sound absorbing devices 100A, 100B are composed of casings 15, a pair of the electrode plates 17, 18 arranged to face each other in these casings 15, the ENC (electrosensitive type sound wave absorption controlling) fluid compsns. 10 prepd. by incorporating EA particles 2 having an EA (electric field arrangement) effect into electrically insulating media 1 and the variable power sources 60A, 60B for impressing the voltage to the electrode plates 17, 18 and variably regulating the voltage. The EA particles 2 are arranged and bonded like chains to form chain bodies when the voltage is impressed between the electrode plates 17 and 18. The characteristic vibration frequencies of the chain bodies themselves are made to coincide with the frequency of the sound waves 1 desired to be removed. Then, the noises generated by the refrigerator itself are effectively absorbed by regulating the impressed voltage.
