    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium which secures a connection between wiring line and an opposite electrode and prevents a discharge between opposite electrodes even the opposite electrodes area formed overlapping each other even at portions where they are connected to wiring lines of wiring members, and is easy to manufacture, and a manufacturing method thereof.
      SOLUTION: Provided is the display medium 50 including a display element 30 provided between a pair of electrodes 14 and 24 formed on opposite flexible substrates 10 and 20 respectively, a wiring member 40 sandwiched between the substrates so that portions of wiring lines 44a and 44b formed on both surfaces of an insulating substrate 42 overlap with the corresponding electrodes, and conductive adhesive materials 46a and 46b electrically connecting the wiring lines to the corresponding electrodes, at least the one side electrode 14 being not exposed on an end surface of the substrate where the electrode is formed to insulate the electrodes from each other. Preferably, the one side electrode is not patterned, and formed over the entire one surface of the substrate.

The wall-like structure bodies 15 and 16 are arranged so as to surround the pixel part 1 by four sides where the upper side electrodes 13 and the lower side electrodes 14 cross each other, but opening parts are formed at the four corners of the pixel part 1.
