摘要： PURPOSE:To achieve high sensitivity in exposure range of both medium illuminance and high illuminance by conducting particle formation or aging of a specific emulsion under existence of a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:In this emulsion, 50% or more of a whole projected area of silver halide particles is occupied by sheet-like silver halide particles each having a diameter of 0.4mum or more, and 80% or more in number of those sheet-like silver halide particles, each having a diameter of 0.4mum or more, each has a dislocation line in the vicinity of a vertex of the particle while an average aspect ratio thereof is 2 or more. Particle formation or aging of this emulsion under existence of a compound expressed by a formula X (QCN)n and being (1/n) X 10 mol or more for 1mol of silver halide provides high sensitivity in high illuminance (10 - 10 sec) exposure as well as in medium (10 - 10 sec) exposure. In the formula, (n) is a natural number of 1 - 5, and X represents a cation of n-value while Q represents S or Se.

High sensitivity and low fog are attained and resistance to pressure fog and pressure desensitization are improved.

A development processing liquid is thereafter supplied into the processing tank 600, by which the development processing of the film F is made possible. Spacings are formed between the embossing films 612 by high projections 612 and the films are cowound in such a manner that the surface of the film F opposite to its emulsion surface come into contact with small projections 616, by which the development processing is made possible without bringing the projections into contact with the emulsion surface side.

The increase of the fogging and the deterioration of the granular characteristic by the aging after the production are thereby prevented.
