SOLUTION: The image processing method includes: calculating a colorimetric value by acquiring the digital data of the transparent image of a color reversal film; acquiring the chromaticity information and illuminance information of a light source illuminating the transmission image being observed; subjecting the colorimetric value of the transparent image to at least contrast conversion or chroma conversion on the basis of a chromaticity value when an adaptation luminance higher than that obtained from the chromaticity information and illuminance information, thereby acquiring the converted colorimetric value; subjecting the converted colorimetric value to a color adaptation correction or a contrast correction on the basis of the chromaticity information and illuminance information; and correcting the converted colorimetric value subjected to the color adaptation correction and contrast correction, as a tristimulus value, from the amount of flare when the transparent image is outputted as a photographic print image.
