摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce thickness whole obtaining the mechanical strength of the molding resin layer of an outer periphery, to decrease the size and weight of a transformer and to improve the cooling efficiency of a high voltage winding by winding an insulation rod on the outer periphery of the winding and winding a cloth of glass fiber thereon. CONSTITUTION:An insulation rod 82 made of FRP is wound at each coil on the outer peripheries of coils 21-25 of a high voltage winding 2. Since the rod 82 has a small diameter, it has sufficient bendability to be draped with the outer periphery of the coil. Glass cloth 81 formed by weaving glass fiber in a cloth state is wound on the rod 82. Since the cloth 81 has a plenty of flexibility, a gap corresponding to the diameter of the rod is formed between the cloth 81 and the outer peripheral surface of the winding 2 at the certain part of the rod 82, and since the cloth 81 is contracted, the part isolated from the rod 82 is brought into contact with the outer surface of the winding, and a gap corresponding to the diameter of the rod 82 is generated between the inner face of an outer circular-arc part 743 and the cloth 81 at this part. When molding resin is impregnated, liquidlike molding resin is impregnated with the cloth 81 through the gaps. Thus, the molding resin layer having high mechanical strength can be obtained.
