    • PURPOSE:To provide a rotor for a high torque type squirrel-cage induction motor which can be produced easily without causing defects in production even for a long size construction. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 10 is equipped with a rotating shaft 12, a rotor core 14 which is fixed to the rotating shaft 12 and has a plurality of through holes 16 in a peripheral portion, a plurality of bar members 18 forming secondary conductors for an induction motor, each bar member being inserted to each through hole of the rotating core 14, a pair of short-circuit rings 20 short- circuiting the end portions of respective bar members 18, and a plurality of supporting plates 22 which push both the rotor core 14 and the short-circuit rings 20 from both the ends and are fixed to the rotating shaft 12. The short- circuit rings 20 are arranged and matched to each of a plurality of the through holes 16 of the rotor core 14 and have a plurality of slots 24. The slot 24 has a profile which mutually permits a tight fit to the sectional shape of the bar member 18. The bar member 18 is press fit and fixed to the slot 24 of the short-circuit ring 20.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction motor with a heat dissipating disc for dissipating heat generated by a rotor.
      SOLUTION: The induction motor 100 with the heat dissipating disc that dissipates heat generated by a rotor includes a stator 1 and the rotor 2 fixed to a first shaft 3 inserted in the inner peripheral side of the stator 1. The stator 1 has air holes 7 formed at a plurality of spots on its outer periphery and penetrating along the axis of the induction motor 100. The stator 1 also has a rotation detector 4 disposed on the side of first shaft 3 that is opposite to a load, a first heat dissipating disc 9 which dissipates heat generated by the rotor 2 fitted to an end of first shaft 3 that is opposite to the load, and a cooling fan 6 which forcibly cools the first heat dissipating disc 9 with fresh air. The cooling fan 6 is disposed in such a way that the first heat dissipating disc 9 is set between the rotation detector 4 and the cooling fan 6.
