Each rib-shaped projection 13 comprises: the first valley surface 15 and the second valley surface 16 of the valley groove 14 which are opposed to each other while interposing the rib-shaped projection 13 therebetween; and a rib peripheral surface 18. A tip sloping surface 19 is formed at the tip surface 23-side end of the rib peripheral surface 18. The operation edge 20 bitten into the damaged concave part 9 is formed at a ridge line where the second valley surface 16 and the rib peripheral surface 18 are made to cross each other. A biting edge 21 is formed at another ridge line where the rib peripheral surface 18 and the tip sloping surface 19 are made to cross each other. A first sloping surface 24 extended over the tip sloping surface 19, the tip surface 23, the first valley surface 15 and the bottom surface 17 is formed to form the tip sloping surface 19 to be an inverted trapezoid shape.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nail shaper capable of shaping a fingernail by easily shaving off the nail surface, specifically suitable for shaping a hooked fingernail.
      SOLUTION: The nail shaper has a pair of clasping bodies 1 and 2 combined in the X shape and connected to each other with a shaft 3 in such a way as oscillatable while crossing each other. The clasping bodies 1 and 2 comprise grip handles 4 and 5 disposed on one side of the shaft 3 and operation arms 6 and 7 on the other side of the shaft 3. A receiving part 11 for receiving the tip of a fingernail or the fingertip is formed on one of opposite faces of the operation arm 6 or 7, and a shaving edge 12 is formed on the other face. The receiving part 11 consists of a plastic receiving block 14 mounted/fixed to one operation arm 6, and a nail receiving face 15 of the receiving block 14 is formed as an uneven face. With this structure, a swelling part of the nail surface is shaved off with the shaving edge 12 from the proximal end to the distal end of the fingernail.
