The cavitation damage prevention structure is provided with liners 17, 19 comprising at least two members in the vicinity of regions as portions of the casings 3, 5 and sliding with the impeller 9. The liners 17, 19 comprises the casing liner 17 joined to the casings 3, 5 and the slide liner 19 joined with the casing liner 17 and sliding with the impeller 9, wherein no level difference is formed between a surface of the casings 3, 5 and the casing liner 17 or the slide liner 19.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten an overhang, to reduce a bearing load, to suppress bending of a main shaft to a low value, and to reduce size and weight by a method wherein a bearing on the side in the vicinity of an impeller is disposed integrally with a shaft sealing device. CONSTITUTION:In a centrifugal pump being of structure wherein a main shaft 2 is in a cantilever, a bearing 5 on the impeller side near an impeller 1 to support the main shaft 2 is disposed integrally with a shaft sealing device 10. Further, a self-lubrication type bearing or a pumped-up liquid type lubrication type bearing is used as a bearing 5 on the impeller side. Thereby, since an overhang is sharply shortened, the bearing load of the bearing 5 on the impeller side is reduced and bending of the main shaft 2 is suppressed to a low value. As a result, the diameter of the main shaft 2 is reduced to a value lower than that of a conventional type, length in an axial direction is decreased, and the size and the weight of the pump are reduced to a value lower than those of a conventional type.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease length in an axial direction, decrease the diameter of a shaft and reduce the size and the weight of the whole pump by disposing a shaft sealing device and a bearing device on a common sleeve in a state to be positioned in the proximity to each other and forming the devices in integral shaft sealing bearing structure. CONSTITUTION:A pump comprises a pump main shaft 1, a shaft sealing device 2, a bearing device 3, and a pump casing 5. In this case, the shaft sealing device 2 and the bearing device 3 are disposed on a common sleeve 6 in a state to be positioned in proximity to each other to form integral shaft sealing gearing structure. The shaft sealing device 2 is provided with a rotary ring 21 rotated togetherwith, for example, the pump main shaft 1, a seal spring 22 pressed against the rotary ring 21 through the force of a spring part 23, a stopper 24 to support the spring part 23, and a water collecting chamber 25 to receive leakage through the shaft sealing device 2. This constitution shortens length in an axial direction, reduces the diameter of a shaft through reduction of the bending of the shaft, and reduces the size and the weight of a whole pump.
