SOLUTION: A valve assembly 10 is a pressure control valve assembly of a solenoid operation 3 port of a discharge pressure bleed type. A valve of an input port 14 includes a pressure response diaphragm 40 having a mounted closing tool 42 of the input port 14. A Bleed orifice 46 of the diaphragm 40 applies damping by viscosity to movement of the closing tool 42 to minimize the valve flutter. The valve assembly takes both always closed and opened structures.

SOLUTION: A vehicle differential assembly 22 of an automobile includes a differential 24 driven by an input 26 and adapted to allow differing rotational speed between a pair of outputs 28, 30. The differential 24 includes a gear assembly connected to the outputs 28, 30 and a hydraulically-actuated clutch 44 for selectively and variably coupling the outputs 28, 30. A hydraulic pump 54 is adapted to generate hydraulic fluid pressure for engagement of the hydraulically-actuated clutch 44. A variable-engagement clutch 56 is operatively connected to the input 26 and the hydraulic pump 54 such that the input 26 selectively drives the hydraulic pump 54 during engagement of the clutch to provide hydraulic fluid pressure to the hydraulically-actuated clutch 44. SOLUTION: A solenoid driven bleed type port pressure control valve 10 comprises an operation rod 52 having an annular valve surface 56, and freely movable to a valve seat 58 between a control pressure signal output port 30 and a discharge part 28. A supply pressure valve seat 32 is formed between a supply port 34 and the control pressure signal output port 30, and a closing ball is seated there for closing the supply port. The operation rod 52 is connected to an armature 16 and extends by penetrating through the supply pressure valve seat 32, and opens the closing ball 38.
