    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method and a measuring device for the three-dimensional shape and aperture widths of a cracks, capable of efficiently measuring those of a rock on the order of 50 cm, with a precision of not lower than several mms.
      SOLUTION: The method has a first process of pouring a solidifier 3 into the crack 2 of the rock 1 that serves as a sample; a second process for collecting data on an image of each cross section of the rock from its top face toward the undersurface, by alternately repeating a process of performing surface grinding processing of the whole top face of the rock up to a preset depth with a surface grinder 10; and a process of photographing a cross section exposed to the top face by the surface grinding with digital photographing equipment 11 and taking its image data into an image data processor 12; and a third process of discriminating a cross section of the crack from collected data on each image, and finding the three-dimensional shape and aperture width of the crack, by mutually relating the geometrical information of those cross sections in the data processor 12.
