    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil detector that is simply configured to eliminate a monitoring burden due to erroneous detection causing light.SOLUTION: An oil film detector comprises: an output signal generation unit for generating an output signal to the outside on the basis of a light-receiving signal of reflected light from a water surface; and an output unit for outputting the generated output signal to the outside. The output signal generation unit compares the light-receiving signal with: a first threshold Lthat is a lower limit value of a light-receiving signal level for detecting an oil film; and a second threshold Lthat is a lower limit value of a light-receiving signal level of erroneous detection causing light. The output signal generation unit generates an oil film detection signal for detecting the presence or absence of the oil film when the light-receiving signal is in a range equivalent to or greater than the first threshold but less than the second threshold; however, it does not generate the oil film detection signal when the light-receiving signal is less than the first threshold or is equivalent to or greater than the second threshold. Accordingly, the oil film detector prevents reflected light or disturbance light from objects other than the oil film from being erroneously detected as the reflected light by the oil film.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil film detection device which detects an oil film by receiving reflected light from a water surface and processing the light reception signal.SOLUTION: Light reception signal processing means 106 in an oil film detection device body includes: peak hold means 106a which periodically performs an operation of sampling a light reception signal of reflected light from an oil surface existing on a water surface and holding a peak value of a light reception signal level, on the basis of a periodically outputted timing signal; comparison means 106c of which the output signal is active in a period for which a peak hold value outputted from the peak hold means 106a exceeds a first threshold L; and count means 106d which counts the timing signal. An alarm contact signal is not outputted if a count value of the count means 106d within the period for which the output signal of the comparison means 106c is active is less than a second threshold, whereby momentary reflected light or reflected light due to disturbance light is prevented from erroneously detected as an oil film.
