摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for delivering a tissue-loaded scaffold in a perfect arthroscopic surgery.
SOLUTION: A small diameter delivery device capable of arthroscopically delivering the tissue-loaded scaffold to a tissue defect or tissue injury site without reducing the pressure at the injury site is provided. The scaffold delivery device comprises a plunger system having two main components, namely an insertion tube and an insertion rod. The insertion tube has a flared proximal end for holding the tissue scaffold prior to delivery. An elongate, hollow body extends from the flared proximal end to the distal end of the insertion tube, and defines a passage penetrating through the hollow body for delivering the tissue scaffold. The insertion rod has a handle at the proximal end and an elongate body extending to the tip of the distal end. The insertion rod is configured to be removably arranged within the insertion tube for sliding along the passage to effect delivery of the tissue scaffold through the insertion tube.
