    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently lubricate both an electric motor and a compressor part, in a compressor such as a scroll type compressor in which the electric motor is incorporated into inside of a closed housing.
      SOLUTION: The electric motor 2 is provided in an upper part of the closed housing 1, and the compressor 1 is provided in a lower part of the closed housing 1. When the compressor part is a scroll type compressor, a back pressure chamber containing an opening 15 of a partition wall 9 is formed on an upper face of an end plate part 21 of a turning scroll 20. Lubricating oil included in discharged fluid is separated by for example, an oil separator 34, and supplied to the back pressure chamber through a lubricating oil passage 40 after moderately decompressed by a throttle element 37. The back pressure chamber also serves as a storage part of the lubricating oil. By rotation of a centrifugal type impeller 61 provided on an upper end part of a rotating shaft 6, the lubricating oil is lifted through a communication hole 60 formed on the rotating shaft 6 and discharged to inside of an upper part space 13. The lubricating oil is flowed down by gravity, lubricates each part and is stored in the back pressure chamber again.

Thus, the supply of high pressure fluid to the back pressure 19 is restricted by the pressure introduction hole 16 closed with the approach of both scrolls 6, 8, to suppress the rise of the back pressure with no strong thrust. On the contrary, when a space between both scrolls 6, 8 is larger, the flow path area to the pressure introduction hole 16 is enlarged to increase the supply of the high pressure fluid to the back pressure chamber 19, preventing the strong slide contact of the rotary scroll 6 with a housing 1.
